As Infinity Co-Founder
and Managing Director, Sam focuses on enabling technologies
and software in the networking and semiconductor-related areas.
Sam serves on the
Board of Directors of several private companies. He was previously
a Board member of Andes Networks (assets acquired by Sun Microsystems),
Berkeley Networks (acquired by FORE Systems/Marconi), Epigram
(acquired by Broadcom), SmartMachines (acquired by Brooks
Automation), JetCell (aquired by Cisco Systems), Amber Networks
(acquired by Nokia), Aristo Technology (merged with Monterey
Design Systems) and E.piphany (NASDAQ: EPNY).
In addition, he was
an active investor in P-Com (NASDAQ: PCOM), Ascend Communications
(NASDAQ: ASND), Kalpana (acquired by Cisco) and LightLogic
(acquired by Intel).
Sam was a Co-Founder
of Information Technology Ventures in 1994, a predecessor
to the current fund. He also served as Vice President at Philadelphia
Ventures and in technical and marketing roles at LSI Logic,
Advanced Micro Devices and Hewlett Packard.

Personal
Outside the office, Sam struggles to keep up with his two
boys and their many activities. In his free time, Sam enjoys
going in circles and punching holes in the sky - he is a multi-engine,
IFR rated pilot and a student of racing anything on four wheels.
